Academic Senate

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University (hereinafter referred to as AS MFF UK) is a self-governing representative academic body of the faculty. AS MFF UK approves the internal regulations of the faculty, distribution of faculty funds, annual reports, the strategic plan and its updates, the conditions for admission to studies, expresses consent to the appointment and dismissal of members of the Scientific Board of the Faculty and the Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty, etc.

Current information

By a resolution approved at the 301st meeting on October 15, 2025, the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University announced elections to both chambers of the Academic Senate of Charles University and to the staff chamber of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University for the period February 1, 2026 – January 31, 2029. The elections will take place electronically from November 25 to November 27, 2025.

The „Elections to the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of MFF UK“ took place from 13 to 15 May 2025. The election results are published in the form of an election protocol (in Czech only) on the website of these elections.
