Academic Senate

The Academic Senate of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University (hereinafter referred to as AS MFF UK) is a self-governing representative academic body of the faculty. AS MFF UK approves the internal regulations of the faculty, distribution of faculty funds, annual reports, the strategic plan and its updates, the conditions for admission to studies, expresses consent to the appointment and dismissal of members of the Scientific Board of the Faculty and the Disciplinary Committee of the Faculty, etc.

Current information

Prof. RNDr. Jiří Zima, CSc., who has decided to run in the elections for the position of Rector of Charles University, which will take place on 31 October this year, accepted the invitation to the 299th meeting of the Academic Senate of MFF UK on 18 June 2025. The public debate with Prof. Zima will take place at 6:00 p.m. in the M1 auditorium of the faculty building, located at Ke Karlovu 3.

The „Elections to the Student Chamber of the Academic Senate of MFF UK“ took place from 13 to 15 May 2025. The election results are published in the form of an election protocol (in Czech only) on the website of these elections.
