Are you studying computer science, mathematics or physics and thinking about going abroad for one or two semesters as an exchange student? At the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague there are a number of ways you can do this, depending on your university.
This is the best known and largest programme for study abroad. If there is an Erasmus bilateral agreement between your university and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of Charles University in Prague, you may come here on an Erasmus+ exchange programme. Here you can find the list of our agreements.
Perhaps your university participates in the Erasmus+ exchange programme but does not yet have an agreement with our faculty. If this is the case but you know that there is cooperation between some of your professors and professors at our faculty, you might suggest to the professors concerned at your university that they initiate an Erasmus agreement with our faculty.
Basic information about our university for incoming Erasmus+ students is available here. In order to apply, please follow the instructions provided by your home university.
If your university does not participate in the Erasmus exchange programme but has concluded a bilateral agreement with our university or faculty that includes support for exchange students at our faculty, you may come on this basis. Here you can find a list of foreign universities cooperating with our university under the terms of such a bilateral agreement; please note that not every agreement on this list includes cooperation with our faculty (abbreviated as MFF). Application regular deadline is May 15th.
For information on how to apply, please contact the international office of your home university.
If your university does not have a formal exchange agreement with our university or faculty, you may still come to our faculty for a semester or two as a free-mover. In this case, it is your own responsibility to cover tuition fees. The tuition fee per semester is 1700 EUR for EU students and 2850 EUR for non-EU students.
In order to apply, please fill in the Application form and the Learning agreement, and send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. After receiving your application, a confirmation of receipt will be sent to you by email. Then, usually within a month, you will receive another email from us with your application result and further instructions. Application regular deadline is May 15th for winter semester and October 15th for the summer semester.
If you have any questions, please contact our international student advisor, Ms. S. Petracchi.
