Doctoral student at KFKL, MFF, UK participating in research of Jana’s group.
Main fields: Condensed matter physics, Physics of nanostructures and nanomaterials.
Current focus: Growth and optimisation of van der Waals heterostructures, specifically, transition metal dichalcogenides; low-dimensional magnetism, hybrid materials, and chirality.
Other experience: Solid state reaction, four-probe Hall effect measurement, chemical vapour deposition, Python, MATLAB, and OriginPro.
Background: I completed my previous studies in India, through a 5-year BSMS dual degree program, in 2024. I graduated with a Physics major and Chemistry minor, from the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) – Mohali. For my Master’s thesis, I worked for a year under the guidance of Prof. Suvankar Chakraverty and Dr. Amit Vashist, at the Institute of NanoScience and Technology (INST) – Mohali, India. The title of this thesis work was “Electric and magnetic properties of the perovskite KTaO3 and double perovskite Sr2FeMoxW1−xO6 thin films”.
