We perform the research in molecular biophysics with overlap into biological and medical applications with a focus on physico-chemical properties, structure and interactions of biomolecules, especially nucleic acids, proteins, porphyrins and their biologically important analogues. The primary research methods include Raman, infrared, UV–VIS absorption spectroscopy/microscopy, Raman optical activity, vibrational and electronic circular dichroism. Experimental studies are supported by quantum chemistry calculations and molecular dynamics simulations.
