Academic Researcher position at the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics in the field of B-meson physics

ID of the position: 202209-VP2-UCJF

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree in the field of nuclear or particle physics or in a related field, experience from an international postdoctoral position in the field of experimental particle physics, at least one year of experience in B-meson physics.

The plan is active participation in international particle physics experiments, especially at the Belle II experiment in the Japanese laboratory KEK.

We require the ability to combine scientific and pedagogical activities - lectures, exercises, and laboratory work in the Czech and English language and the supervision of students, bachelor's, diploma, and doctoral theses.

Expected starting date is January 1, 2023, and it is negotiable.

  • professional CV
  • proofs of education and awarding of academic titles,
  • a list of 10 most relevant publications and citations
  • a list of contributions at scientific conferences in the field of B-meson physics in the last 5 years

should be sent by e-mail to positions@matfyz.cuni.cz latest by September 30, 2022. The applicant must also arrange for a letter of recommendation from an internationally recognized expert in the field of B-meson physics to be sent as well to positions@matfyz.cuni.cz. The subjects of these e-mails should contain the ID of the position.

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. In well-justified cases, the interview can be held remotely. The shortlisted candidates may also be invited to give a public lecture.
