Assistant professor (tenure track) at the Department of Mathematical Analysis, in the field of mathematical analysis.

Job description: Scientific and pedagogical work in the field of mathematical analysis.

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area, research and teaching experience in a relevant field, positive attitude towards pedagogical work, ability to integrate research and teaching activities as well as supervising student theses, publication record in impact journals or media recognized by the community (an important part in mathematical journals). Basic communication in Czech language after three years period is expected.

Assistant Professor position (tenure track) at the Mathematical Institute of Charles University specializing in Geometry

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area, research and teaching experience in a relevant field, positive attitude towards pedagogical work, ability to integrate research and teaching activities as well as supervising student theses, publication record in impact journals or media recognized by the community (an important part in mathematical journals). Teaching both in English and Czech (possibly after three years period) languages. Ability to teach in Czech is advantageous.

Assistant Professor position (tenure track) at the Mathematical Institute of Charles University specializing in Mathematical modeling with a special focus on (large-scale) particle-based simulation and continuum theoretical modeling of biointerfaces including their solvation and elasticity.

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in a relevant area, research and teaching experience in a relevant field, positive attitude towards pedagogical work, ability to integrate research and teaching activities as well as supervising student theses, publication record in impact journals or media recognized by the community. Experiences with work in team including mathematicians and experimentalists are welcome. Teaching both in English and Czech (possibly after three years period) languages.

  • citation report (according to Web of Science or another relevant database (e.g. MathSciNet), and
  • a motivation letter including a research statement and teaching expectations

Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. In well-justified cases, the interview can be held remotely. The shortlisted candidates may also be invited to give a public lecture.
