Associate Professor position at the Department of Condensed Matter Physics specializing in Physics – Condensed Matter Physics

Qualification requirements: Habilitation in a relevant area or a comparable foreign academic position, research and teaching experience in a relevant field, positive attitude towards pedagogical work, ability to integrate research and teaching activities as well as supervising student theses including advising doctoral students, publication record in impact journals and/or conference proceedings and publication media recognized by the community in the relevant area, experience from foreign academic or research institutions, appropriate experience in the field of condensed matter theory, especially the field of magnetization dynamics.

Assistant Professor position at the Department of Physics Education specializing in Physics Education

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the field of physics education or general problems of physics, deep knowledge of both Czech and international context of science education. We require the ability to combine scientific and pedagogical activities – lectures, exercises and the supervision of bachelor's and diploma theses. Academic Researcher position in the Institute of Particle and Nuclear Physics specializing in experimental physics of K-mesons

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the field of nuclear or particle physics or in a related field, experience from an international postdoctoral position in the field of experimental physics of K-mesons. We require the ability to combine scientific and pedagogical activities – lectures, exercises and laboratory work in Czech and English language and the supervision of student’s, bachelor's, diploma and doctoral theses.

Job description: an active participation in international K-meson experiments, especially at NA62 experiment in CERN.

Academic Researcher position at the Department of Low-Temperature Physics specializing in the field of condensed matter physics

ID of the position: 202104-VP2-KFNT

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the field of condensed matter physics. Experience with deposition and characterization of thin films is required. In particular, the applicant has to be familiar with investigations of lattice defects by means of positron annihilation spectroscopy. Any experience of the applicant with hydrogen absorption in thin films is very welcome. It is expected that the applicant has already conducted research in this field documented by a publication record. The applicant should be able to work independently with an apparatus for thin film deposition and with a variable energy slow positron beam. The applicant should be aware of working with radioactive substances and has to be familiar with radiation safety and protection. In addition, the applicant should have positive attitude towards pedagogical work and should be able to integrate research and teaching activities. The applicant should be capable of teaching lectures and exercises in the Czech language as well as supervising of bachelor and diploma theses and student projects.

Academic Researcher position at the Department of Surface and Plasma Science, specializing in the physics of plasmas

ID of the position: 202104-VP2-KFPP-PL

Qualification requirements: Ph.D. degree (or equivalent) in the physics of surfaces and interfaces is required. We also require the applicant’s practical experience in the design, construction, and operation of ion traps and laser systems. Especially know-how with such devices under cryogenic temperatures is welcome. The applicant should be able to work independently with experimental apparatus for the study of processes in ultracold plasma. The successful applicant has already conducted research in this field, documented by a publication record added to the application. The candidate shall have a track record of international cooperation such as research stays, work outside the country of origin etc. Besides, the applicant should have a positive attitude towards pedagogical work and should be able to integrate research and teaching activities. The applicant should teach lectures and exercises in the Czech language and supervise bachelor and diploma theses and student projects. It’s awaited the applicant will be active in preparing grant proposals.

Academic Researcher position in the Department of Software and Computer Science Education, specializing in computer games development, game design and multimedia learning
