Representatives From Taiwan's NCKU Visit Matfyz

On August 19, a meeting took place at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University, with representatives of the Academy of Innovative Semiconductor and Sustainable Manufacturing (AISSM) from National Cheng Kung University (NCKU), Taiwan. The six-member delegation was led by Prof. Yan-Kuin Su, Dean of AISSM NCKU.
The meeting was also attended by the Vice-Rector for International Affairs of Charles University, Prof. Eva Voldřichová Beránková, and the Director of the Rectorate International Relations Office. Matfyz was represented by the Vice-Dean for Development Prof. Jan Franc, Vice-Dean for Study Affairs Assoc. Prof. Michal Kulich, Faculty Bursar Ing. Blanka Svobodová, along with Assoc. Prof. Pavel Kocán, Prof. Eduard Belas, Assoc. Prof. Jiří Pospíšil, Assoc. Prof. Martin Setvín and Dr. Gilbert Pi.
The main topic of the meeting was potential collaboration, particularly in the area of student exchange. Following the introductory presentation, a productive discussion took place. After the meeting, the delegation was invited to tour selected laboratories at Karlov, guided by Prof. Belas and Assoc. Prof. Pospíšil.
