Welcome, new students!

• Library registration is free, takes place online, and is valid for all libraries at Charles University – see the electronic application form 
• To use library services (especially borrowing services) within Charles University, you still need to have a physical student ID card (an electronic version on your phone is not sufficient).
• You can find a virtual catalog of all Charles University libraries at ukaz.cuni.cz (the system will display the borrowing rules for specific volumes after you log in).
• All study literature, i.e., lecture notes and textbooks, is available at our branch in Troja, where you can borrow it for up to six months (study literature at other branches is usually intended for study in study rooms and reading rooms only).
• Study rooms and reading rooms are available not only in Troja, but also in Karlov, in Karlín and in Malá Strana – we look forward to seeing you, so please come and visit us!
