Introduction

The Department of Macromolecular Physics conducts studies and research in the fields of physics of polymers and macromolecular substances, physics of nanomaterials and theoretical physics. As part of our research, we use state-of-the-art instrumentation and a broad knowledge base in the field of probabilistic modeling in physics. We actively cooperate with other departments of the MFF UK (FÚ, KFPP, KFKL, KFM) as well as with many Czech and foreign research institutes. This cooperation takes place both in the form of joint research projects and in the form of student exchanges.

Teaching at our department is focused on all levels of study - from bachelor's, through master's, to doctoral. We offer supervision of

We are highly interested in the development of cooperation with the private sector. We can offer:

  • Modern experimental equipment and an experienced research team for basic and applied research
  • Expert analysis of a whole range of materials from polymers and hydrogels to inorganic nanomaterials
  • Design and construction of vacuum deposition systems, including nanoparticle sources
