Main scientific activities

Complex study of magnesium alloys: wrought Mg alloys, including Mg alloys with long-period stacking-ordered (LPSO) phase – mechanical properties and microstructure
-
Microstructure investigation of metallic (Mg alloys, splats of U compounds, foams) and ceramic material using scanning electron microscopy, including electron backscatter diffraction (EBSD) and Energy Dispersive X-ray (EDX) analyses.

Utilization advanced microscopy techniques: in-situ deformation in SEM chamber, 3D EBSD.

Analysis of plastic deformation in metals by acoustic emission (AE) technique.
