The research team is composed of researchers working at School of Mathematics (Department of Mathematical Analysis, Department of Numerical Mathematics, Mathematical Institute of Charles University) and School of Physics (Institute of Astronomy of Charles University, Department of Atmospheric Physics and Department of Geophysics). All participating institutes/departments are part of the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University.

- July 22, 2025: Recent work by UNCE members Christoph Allolio and Petr Pelech on modelling cell division has been featured in the news of the faculty.
- March 10, 2025: UNCE member Petr Šácha was interviewed by The Verge on the effect of climate change on space debris.
- February 28, 2025: We congratulate UNCE member Erin Carson who will receive the James H. Wilkinson Prize in Numerical Analysis and Scientific Computing for her work, as well as UNCE member Marc Fehling, who will receivethe SIAM/ACM Prize in Computational Science and Engineering as part of the deal.II team at the CSE25 conference (details).
