Research

The Centre brings together researchers in mathematical analysis, numerical analysis, high performance computing and continuum
thermodynamics. The Centre mission is to facilitate interaction between applied mathematics and natural sciences and subsequently
promote the use of the state-of-art mathematical methods in the applications, and vice versa use mathematical problems in the
applications as the driving force for first-rate mathematical research.

The research team is composed of researchers working at School of Mathematics (Department of Mathematical Analysis,
Department of Numerical Mathematics, Mathematical Institute of Charles University) and School of Physics (Institute of
Astronomy of Charles University, Department of Atmospheric Physics and Department of Geophysics).

All participating institutes/departments are part of Faculty of Mathematics and Physics, Charles University.
