Student events
Our department organizes several social and professional events for students.
Every year, we organize a traditional event called Škola v přírodě (School in nature) (in Czech, this is a traditional name for elementary school field trips). It is attended by the students, teachers and friends of the Department of Algebra. The scientific part consists of talks by students and guests on various interesting topics, including discussions with our alumni from the real world. There is a plenty of time for various social and sport activities.
Every week, there is an hour reserved for the Algebra colloquium, which is followed by an informal discussion over tea and biscuits.
Ocassionally, we organize football matches. This event is suspended at the moment.
