Additive MDS Codes

Abstract
We introduce the notion of additive nonlinear codes and present some of their properties. We present two examples of additive nonlinear Maximum Distance Separable codes over two different alphabets. Finally, we prove the MDS conjecture for additive nonlinear codes over the alphabet F_9 and F_16, preserving the linearity over F_4 for the latter case.
