Correction of spherical aberration of electron optics using light published in Nature Photonics

Electron optics aberrations limit the resolution of electron microscopes. Existing correctors based on sequences of multipole lenses are bulky and expensive. A recent study conducted at our department by M. Kozák's group and published in Nature Photonics (https://doi.org/10.1038/s41566-025-01760-8) experimentally demonstrates the possibility of correcting the spherical aberration of electron lenses using shaped light.
