Spins, Waves and Interactions Workshop in Greifswald
The jubilee 10th international workshop on new trends in spintonics, Spins, Waves and Interactions 2025, will take place from September 1 to September 3, 2025 in Greifswald, Germany. The main focus topics are altermagnets and non-collinear antiferromagnets, magnons and ultrafast spin transport.
We are proud to announce the jubilee 10th edition of this traditional international workshop and networking event, which aims to bring together both established scientists and young, talented researchers in the field of spintronics. As usual, we will meet at the pleasant venue of the Krupp Kolleg with a series of invited talks and contributed posters.

Conference dinners
The conference dinners will be held at Brasserie Hermann, Gützkower Straße 1 (Monday Sep 1) and Goldmarie, Fischstraße 11 (Tuesday Sep 2).
Public lecture and experiments
The public lecture by Prof. Andy Thomas from the IFW Dresden will take place on Monday Sep 1 at 18:00 at the Krupp Kolleg lecture hall and it will introduce the topic of neuromorphic computing to a wider audience.
Excursion
Wendelstein 7-X at the Greifswald branch of IPP is a large stellarator with modular superconducting coils, which enable steady state plasma operation in order to explore the reactor relevance of this concept. The excursion will take place on Wednesday Sep 3 after the closing of the conference (time to be confirmed) and will include an introductory lecture on the topic and a visit of the experimental hall with the device.
Water sports events
As Greifswald is so close to the Baltic Sea, there are multiple possibilites for water sports (kite surfing, stand-up paddeling, windsurfing, etc.). Typically there is a small group of people who take the opportunity either before or after the workshop to deepen the connections and to get to know each other at the camping in Loissin. There, you can meet casually to kite or windsurf or just to enjoy some time at the sea. If you are interested in joining please book these activites by yourself. Please find here the webpage of the camping and the kite surfing school where you can do courses if you are interested (no previous knowledge is necessary).
If you want to get in contact with other people joining the weekend activities, please contact Michaela Lammel who will help with organizing the groups.
