Czech-American Meeting at the Office of the Prime Minister: Cooperation in Quantum Technologies and Artificial Intelligence

On October 30, 2025, a significant meeting took place at the Office of the Government of the Czech Republic, bringing together representatives of Czech and American academic institutions. The goal was to initiate a dialogue on bilateral research cooperation in the fields of quantum technologies and artificial intelligence.

The Czech delegation included experts from several university departments, notably Charles University, represented by Assoc. Prof. Jiří Pavlů, Prof. Jan Hajič, and Dr. Michal Hejduk. Discussions focused on connecting cutting-edge research with applications in areas where quantum and AI technologies are gaining strategic importance.

The meeting was hosted by Petr Kavalíř from the New Technologies – Research Centre of the University of West Bohemia, who emphasized the importance of international collaboration for the development of innovation and technology transfer.

This meeting marks an important step toward establishing a structured framework for cooperation between Czech and American research institutions, with the aim of supporting the development of future technologies.
