Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) is a critically important part of the Web of Science Core Collection.
It contains over 8100 journals which have passed rigorous selection by the Web of Science Editorial team and provide the users with expanded options to discover new areas of research in evolving disciplines, as well as relevant interdisciplinary scholarly content across rapidly changing research fields.
ESCI archives covers a wealth of publication and citation data from 2005 to 2017 including over 2.6 mln publication records from 200 countries and territories. The ESCI archive is particularly important not only as a broader source of publication data for social sciences and humanities but also as an additional set of citations contributing to publication impact.
In this webinar we will consider the importance of ESCI content
for the European universities and research organizations from the standpoint of
both content and research metrics.
