Costs and Dates

Application Fee for Bachelor, Master and PhD Programs

  • All Applicants: 20 EUR (around $24) per application; please pay this by credit card, following the instructions given in the online application.

Tuition Fees for Bachelor and Master Programs

  • 140 000 CZK (around 5100 EUR) per academic year; students from the EU are eligible for a 40 percent discount.

Tuition Fee for PhD Programmes

  • 150 000 CZK (around 5550 EUR) per academic year. Exceptional students may consider applying for a tuition fee waiver. The final decision on awarding a tuition fee waiver rests with the dean of the faculty and is based on the academic performance of the applicant in his/her previous education, research activity around the intended research topic, language skills, and ability to cooperate with others. An application for a tuition fee waiver, including supporting material, should be submitted together with the application for the PhD programme.

Average living costs range from 400 to 600 EUR (around $440 to $660) per month, including accommodation, meals, public transport, and leisure activities. More information about  living costs are given in the section Living in Prague.

Applicants from outside the European Union and the Schengen Area are advised to apply in the winter round so as to have enough time for obtaining a student visa for the Czech Republic. The visa process can take up to 90 working days.
